We're so happy to feature Olga, one of our longtime students, this month. She is currently studying in the ESOL 4-5 daytime class with Kody and Leslie, and tutors with Chris. She started out by taking ESOL 2-3 in our Fremont center in fall of 2015, and has moved up levels as her English has steadily improved.
Olga was born in Ukraine, lived in Russia for about 40 years, and moved to Seattle to be with her daughter, who married an American, in 2015. Olga's eyes light up when she talks about her many hobbies - she loves to grow flowers, vegetables, and fruit in her garden; sew clothing; cook Ukrainian foods; and bake delicious pastries and bread! She would eventually love to find a job in the US, while also trying to balance family commitments in Russia and Seattle.
We have really enjoyed having Olga at Literacy Source - her commitment to studying and improving her English skills is incredibly impressive. Keep up the great work, Olga!
