This training is designed for all tutors and instructors either teaching math or integrating it into the lesson plans. As the center theme this term is budgets this is useful for everyone:

  • What constitutes good math teaching? i.e. not just solving problems with numbers but also communicating about your mathematical reasoning and using math to solve real-world problems.
  • How do you teach math?  Using an I do - We do - You do framework, we will explore the concept of teaching math by layering on a trajectory of - concrete to pictorial to abstract.

Parking is available in the lot located behind Literacy Source (enter from 125th St.); please park only in the spaces outline in white. Spaces outlined in yellow are reserved for retail parking.

Please note: Literacy Source volunteer trainings are primarily for Literacy Source volunteers. If you are interested in attending, but are not affiliated with Literacy Source, please contact before registering for this event.
