County Adult Literacy
King County Adult Literacy is an organization that represents various
county learning institutions and literacy-focused non-profits. Visit
their website to find literacy-focused volunteer opportunities and free
or inexpensive adult education classes in King County.

County Public Library ESL Programs
The King
County Public Library offers many free ESL programs, including Talk
Time and US citizenship classes. The Library also has many books, kits,
and DVDs on English language and citizenship that library card holders
can borrow. (Library cards are FREE to most King County residents. See here

Literacy
NOW (Literacy Network of Washington)
Although the Literacy NOW program has closed, their online program
directory is still updated. Search by your city or ZIP code for classes
near you in adult literacy, citizenship, ESL, and work skills.

Public Library's Online ESL Resources
Here is a list of learning tools and resources open to the public and
library card holders. (Library cards are FREE to Seattle residents and

Central Community College
Enroll in Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes to improve your reading,
writing, and math skills. You can also complete your high school
diploma by enrolling in the GED or External Diploma Program (EDP).
Literacy Source also offers assistance for the External Diploma Program

Seattle Community College
Enroll in ESL
classes or take courses
to learn attain high school-level reading, writing, and math skills, or
prepare for the GED exam.
