4th Annual Adult Literacy Week in Washington - October 19-25, 2008 Better Skills. Better Jobs. Better Lives. This is the fourth year the governor of Washington State has set aside the third week of October as Adult Literacy Week. Efforts to raise understanding and support for adult basic education among thought leaders and social influencers, a goal of the long-term plan for ABE, have grown more effective each year. This has resulted in broader support for adult basic education than we have ever experienced. Support Literacy during Adult Literacy Week! |
