Computer Instruction Services
This program is designed for:
- All adult students at Literacy Source currently receiving instruction in basic literacy skills or programs (Talk Time, Start Smart, Citizenship, EDP, etc.) including individuals on the Basic Student Waiting List.
- All Literacy Source volunteers and tutors who seek to gain or improve computer skills in order to benefit Literacy Source students or programs.
- Former Literacy Source students who have transitioned to work or other educational and community services who need to continue to improve computer skills to make that transition successful.
Today, computers are everywhere, whether in the office, at school or in the local library. Knowing how to use a computer can open up more opportunities. The Computer Skills Workshops are for students who would like an introduction to computers, or those who would like to improve their computer skills. Every workshop is designed with new computer users in mind and are open to students regardless of current skill level. Students that want to learn more after class can work with one of our Computer Tutors to continue improving their computer skills.
